How Alignment Feels
Alignment will feel different depending on how much we value something. But the most common feeling underlying it all is great comfort in allowing. Once you feel REALLY comfortable with having your desire, then you know that you have come a long way and that it is on the horizon. Of course, the physical evidence will tell you whether you have FULLY allowed your desire, but you will know that you have come a long way when it feels REALLY comfortable.

Making Your Journey Quantifiable
Abe
recommends that we use the emotional guidance scale
to quantify our journey of allowing, but what I have found to be helpful is to identify the essence of what I want after I decide to allow it. Sanaya Roman
gives a really lucid and clear description of what that essence is, the essence of our desire, in their book Creating Money
. (See here for a review.) Basically, the essence of what we want is the higher quality(ies) that we want to realize through manifesting our desire. The desire for money can have the higher quality of freedom or power or abundance, etc. for us. The essence of our desire is the spiritual meaning it has for us basically. So the essence of money would be one or all of those things depending on what we valued.
When I want to discern the progress I am making on my journey of allowing, I start by focusing on the quality of my experience. I look for the emotions and higher qualities that I am experiencing so far. Do I feel greater relief? What kinds of emotions am I experiencing? What are the higher qualities experienced thus far? In essence, what is the quality of my experience? By looking at these questions, I am able to determine the kind of progress I am making. I know that ultimately, I need to get to the point consistently where I can see, feel, and know deeply that my desire will manifest in order to fully allow it.

You Don't Need to Know What You're Resisting to Allow It
You just need to feel for what is comfortable and allow that.
Allowing is About Letting Yourself Feel Comfortable
Allowing is not about doing one thing or another. You can do something and allow. You can do nothing and allow. It's about how comfortable you feel. If you feel comfortable, you are allowing. Allowing is about how you feel, not what you do. I prefer to see allowing as letting yourself feel comfortable rather than finding relief because "relief" implies that you are resisting in the moment and that you need to go somewhere else (emotionally) to find the comfort. "Letting yourself feel comfortable" implies just that, you are letting yourself feel comfortable whether that means staying where you are or going somewhere else.

Finding Your Own Manifesting Style
There are so many books out there on how to manifest, all with different perspectives/techniques for manifesting what you desire. But how can you discover your own manifesting style? There is no specific formula that fits everyone and even individuals need to try different things for different occasions. But one can usually find a way of manifesting that really suits him or her, connects to their soul and resonates with their being. In order to do that, you need to tune into yourself, attend to your feelings to see what works for and resonates with you. Once you tune in, the answers flow through.
Your feelings are the answer. It is by drawing upon your feelings that you will naturally discover the style that is right for you. Allow yourself to be inspired, whether that is painting, drawing, singing, or speaking your desire. It's all up to you and what feels right in the moment.
What is a Dominant Vibration?
We know that when we realize a dominant vibration, our desires will manifest into physical reality. But what does a dominant vibration feel like? When you are dominantly vibrating to "wanted", you see, feel, and know deeply that your desire will manifest. Jeffrey Grupp discusses this at great length in his book "Cosmic Feeling and the Law of Attraction."
Reading that helped me to clarify and crystallize my understanding about my dominant vibration and how it feels. It was very helpful in this regard as the emotional scale cannot always tell you when you will manifest. The scale is more useful in a relative sense, indicating which emotions are closer to alignment or not. But one can manifest at contentment and I have done so many times. I have rarely felt elated before manifesting, so the emotional scale should not be used in an absolute sense. Abe actually said that when you are at contentment, it means that you are used to the feeling of being in the vortex, so it is a very good thing. You don't necessarily have to go higher on the emotional scale beyond contentment to manifest your dreams into physical reality.

If You Want Something, Allow ANYTHING
"But I feel comfortable resisting what I want." Then, allow that.
"But I feel comfortable resisting the resistance." Then, allow that.
"But I don't want to do anything right now." Then, allow that. After all, it's an emotional journey, right? Not a physical one.
"But I have multiple layers of resistance and I don't want to do anything about it." Then, allow that.
It's not just about allowing what you want or in that direction. Remember, allowing ANYTHING moves you forward. Because when you allow ANYTHING, you are loosening the resistance to "wanted". When you allow ANYTHING, you allow EVERYTHING you want to manifest.

Creating Money: Attracting Abundance (Sanaya Roman)
This book is really about how to deal with money in a spiritual way. It does offer a magnetic coil exercise to attract money, but this technique did not resonate with me. I need to approach manifestation in a way that connects with my soul. And I've found better techniques out there, at least for me. I would just read this book and try it out. It's definitely worth it for the understanding it gives you about the spiritual aspect of money. But if you would like to try some other approaches to manifesting abundance, I would look at Ask & It Is Given and Telementation: Cosmic Feeling and the Law of Attraction. "Ask" is great because it goes at length about the topic of relief and how to manifest things through that. But I feel that "Telementation" really offers a superior approach as it helps you focus on your desires like a laser beam. I do have reviews of both of these books on Amazon.com, so you might want to check them out.

Beyond Abe
This blog is about the law of attraction, manifesting our desires, with a focus on the teachings of Abraham ("Ask and It is Given", etc). But it goes beyond Abe and delves deeply into the law of attraction and the nature of creating our reality. I will focus on Abe as well as other teachings that can enhance our understanding of the law of attraction.
